Background

Twenty years of body knowledge, refined into precision frequency work.

Natalie Sakamoto has spent more than two decades inside the human body, first as a bodyworker, then as an educator, and now as one of Southern California's most experienced frequency therapy practitioners. She graduated from Mesa Institute in 2002 with a 1,000-hour diploma in sports rehabilitation bodywork therapy, then spent the following decade refining her craft inside wellness centers and chiropractic practices, where she developed a working understanding of body mechanics most practitioners never reach.

That depth led her to academia. As an instructor at the National Holistic Institute in Santa Ana, Natalie taught Advanced Neuromuscular Therapy and served as Campus Manager, training the next generation of bodyworkers. In 2020, she pursued advanced training in SCENAR microfrequency therapy under Dr. Lena Subotina, and in 2022 made the decision to leave academia and commit fully to frequency-based work. She began working with Danielle Palmer at the Center for New Medicine and Cancer Center for Healing in Irvine under Dr. Connealy, and the two continue to collaborate at The Ascent Collaborative.

Natalie is an active member of the AMTA, ABMP, IICT, and NCBTMB, a reflection of her ongoing commitment to continuing education and clinical standards. She is the founder of Natalie S. Wellness, Co-Founder and Instructor at the International BioFrequency Association, and a Frequency & Neuromuscular Therapy Specialist within The Ascent Collaborative.

What She Does

Hands-on intelligence, amplified by frequency.

Natalie's specialty is the intersection of two disciplines most practitioners never combine at this level: the knowledge of deep manual bodywork and advanced frequency therapy. Twenty years of palpation has taught her to read the body in ways no device can and her advanced SCENAR and BioModulator training gives her the tools to respond with precision the hands alone cannot reach.

Her credentials are layered and specific: Advanced Neuromuscular Therapy (taught at the National Holistic Institute), SCENAR microfrequency training under Dr. Lena Subotina of the Revenko lineage, Tennant BioModulator certification, and lymphatic-support work with the LymphStar Pro. She has also studied the works of Dr. Janet Travell, the foundational researcher behind modern trigger-point therapy.

Her work is especially well-suited to clients managing chronic muscular pain and tension patterns, post-injury and post-surgical recovery, lymphatic stagnation and inflammation, nervous-system dysregulation, and whole-family wellness Natalie is one of the few practitioners in The Ascent Collaborative who works comfortably with adults and children alike.

Why Ascent

From the treatment table to the full technology stack.

For most of her career, Natalie worked one body at a time, with her hands and a treatment table. That work produced real results but it also revealed the ceiling. There were patterns the hands alone could not unwind, recovery timelines they could not shorten, and clients whose nervous systems needed something the manual approach could not give them.

Discovering SCENAR in 2020 was the inflection point. For the first time, she had a tool that could communicate with the nervous system as fluidly as her hands could read the fascia. That shift led her, alongside her longtime colleague Danielle Palmer, into the world of high-precision frequency work and ultimately into The Ascent Collaborative, where the full technology stack lets her layer SCENAR, BioModulator, and lymphatic support into integrated protocols.

At Ascent, Natalie works with clients ranging from athletes and high performers to families navigating the everyday, building care plans that meet each client where they are, and using the right combination of touch and technology to move them forward.
